  1. I own a business in Coe Hill and would like to have it added to this site , this is a great site for the Coe Hill area. Business Name is Ron Earle Excavating and Landscape Centre at 2143 Hwy 520 Coe Hill phone # (613) 337-5184 Thanks Richard

  2. Crystal:

I a haven’t seen any press releases from OPP about a crash on Hwy 28. Where did you see the wreck?

  3. This site is a great idea. How about including a link to the Council, including meeting minutes?
Also, the Conservation Authority link would be handy.

    • Wendy:

I’ve added the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority link to the list of links to down the right side of the page, but there’s not much current content on that web site. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any “news” posted there, in several years of checking.

As for the township council minutes, I’ve hesitated to post them because they’re lean on information to help someone who wasn’t at the meeting understand exactly what happened. In hindsight, I was wrong. I’ll now try to post them up as they become available, so ratepayers can follow their council’s actions. I’ll also go back and post some older minutes. Search for them under “Wollaston Council – meeting minutes”

  4. I’m impressed with your website! I came across it while researching my grandparents William & Stella Belton who resided in Coe Hill for many years-I spent a number of vacations there in the 50’s and 60’s. Stella died in 1977. Does any one know if their house is still standing? I know that it was on the main street, single story and at the time covered in corrugated metal. I remember going across the street to the well to get water! Thanks! Lynn (Belton)McWilliam

    • I HAVEN’T CHECKED COE HILL WORLD FOR A WHILE. IT’S LOOKING BETTER AND BETTER.
I’M A PART TIMER IN COE HILL AND IT’S GOOD TO HEAR LOCAL NEWS, SEE PICS ETC.
I’LL REMIND MYSELF TO SUBMIT SOMETHING PERIODICALLY.

      THANKS

      JOHN MARTIN

    • Hi Lynn,

  7. Hi…I am one of the Glen Alda boys..came across this site a while ago and really enjoy visiting.
Being 3000 miles away from home the past 30 years, my only contact has been family and sporadic visits.
Since mom and dad sold the farm a couple of years ago, God only knows when the next visit will be. I still have many memories of Wannamakers Store, Bill McCaws pool hall and Lehighs. etc. Keep up the great work! Murray
